Business Account Representative

 

Responsible for establishing new sales to area business as well as contact/ visit current business customers to offer additional services. Must be open to learn new and creative ways to sell Amplex services along with a persistent and resilient attitude in order to reach sales-based goals.  Conduct research to identify leads and reach business targets through telephone, email, in person or other means necessary.

 

Reports To: Business and Enterprise Service Team Manager

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cold calling to existing businesses and additional follow-up from inbound calls and emails about business/ residential services.  Schedule sales meetings at business locations to evaluate needs, determine what services Amplex can offer, and what would best fit their needs. Respond promptly to customer concerns and complaints while escalating outages and equipment issues to BEST or CSR team members. Create and develop sales presentation and materials for a variety of business needs along with a system to document success/ failure and future follow-up.  As the sales skills improve and existing businesses are contacted it will be necessary to develop additional leads via cold calling to further develop growth of our customer base.  A strong knowledge of the Wireless Internet Industry, VoIP, Wi-Fi, and other business services and products that Amplex offers is required.  Must be able to work independently but also as a team when needed.  Must be self- motivated, enthusiastic, and able to build a rapport with business contacts and maintain relationships long-term.  Flexibility to meet the needs of business customers, attend sales calls when need, attend evening meetings/ festivals/ events.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is mainly indoors. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copier, scanner, fax, etc.  Outside meetings, travel, and evening events are required.  Must be able to speak in public effectively and present Amplex services in a knowledgeable manner.  Schedule must be flexible to meet the needs of business customers.

 

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.  Must be organized and be able to complete assigned tasks effectively and efficiently.  The capability to be persistent with follow-up on leads and document accordingly.  Additionally, some resilience to failed sales attempts and continued enthusiasm towards achieve sales goals.  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Must be have excellent customer service, a strong work ethic, and a high level of integrity.

Tower Technician/ Tower Climber

 

Reports to: Tower Foreman

Classification: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-exempt

JOB DESCRIPTION

________________________________________________________________________

This position will be responsible for the installation and service of all tower equipment, related to the infrastructure of Amplex Internet.  Must be well organized, reliable, and be able to multi-task effectively. Must have a practical mind to solve problems quickly. Must not be afraid of heights.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1.     Install, Maintain, and Upgrade Access Points(Aps), Back Hauls(BHs), Cabling, Cabinets, mounting hardware at heights.

2.     Climb and mount equipment to towers, water towers, grain elevators as needed.

3.     Assist tower foreman with all aspects of tower upgrades, installs, and maintenance.

4.     Serve as part of the on-call rotation for tower emergency or maintenance during off hours.

5.     Ability to problem solve issues or alerts with tower equipment.

6.     Properly maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.

7.     Follow all company safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment as required.

8.     Assist with special projects or assignment as needed

9.     Other duties as necessary.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1.     High school diploma or equivalent. 

2.     1-3 months related experience and/ or training.

3.     High degree of attention to details and accuracy.

4.     Must be able to work independently but also be a team player.

5.     Solid judgment along with decision making skills

6.     CPR/FA certified or ability to be certified.

7.     Appropriate certifications as related to tower climber position or ability to be certified.

 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

1.     Must be able to multi-task and meet necessary deadlines consistently.

2.     Understand spreadsheets, charts, and technical manuals.

3.     Reliable and dependable.

Supervisory Responsibility

 This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to work outdoors year round in all kinds of weather except when there are safety concerns. (ice, lightening, etc)

 

Physical requirements

Must be physically fit and in overall good health.  Ability to lift, carry and climb a 75 lb. 32’ ladder, and climb a 400’ tower.  Ability to crawl, stoop, kneel, and drive a truck.

Fiber Construction Lineperson

Responsible for the proper placement of strand and fiber optic cable in accordance with construction and safety practices and standards.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Ability to lead and assist in the placement of strand and the lashing of aerial fiber.

·      Ability to lead and assist in underground construction methods to install fiber network cables and fiber to the home.

·      Must know aerial and underground construction standards (or the ability to research) and be able to successfully perform them either as a team or independently.

·      Maintains a safe work environment for yourself and other crew members. Must be committed and adhere to company safety procedures and policies along with all federal, state, local and industry codes, rules, and procedures.

·      Must be able to properly and safety operate all equipment necessary to complete both aerial and underground construction.

·      Provides Excellent Customer Service for both internal and external customers/ outside contractors.

·      Ability to document and communicate needs to supervisor as needed.  Provide both written and verbal communication effectively.

·      Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. 

·      Must be able to manage time appropriately, be organized, and be prepared ahead of time for the tasks/ duties for the day.  Ability to pay attention to detail and be dependable is a must.

·      Must be able to work in all weather conditions and temperatures outdoors and in the local community.

·      Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); 2-years of experience in both aerial and underground fiber construction. Ability to read and understand fiber design/ system prints and maps.  Experience working safely with a boom truck, ladder, underground construction line equipment, various construction tools, hand tools and power tools, various test equipment.  Must be able to safely operate vehicles and trailers. 

 

LANGUAGE

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instruction, and procedure manual.  Ability to speak clearly and effectively on the phone and in person.  Must be able to read and understand maps and prints.

 

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate basic math including addition and subtraction.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations safely, efficiently, and effectively.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions including written, oral, diagram or map/ print form.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The job is a physical demanding position working in the outdoors in the local community.  Must be able to work in all weather conditions and be able to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and safely use a ladder. Warehouse Assistant

Provides quality control, organization, and documentation to coordinate inventory within the warehouse.  Assist the Purchasing Manager with maintaining accurate supplies and future ordering needs.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Ability to check shipments for accurate count and quality control/ verify orders when received, and then accurate stock items in the warehouse.

·      Ability to fill supply orders by pulling appropriate materials/ equipment and maintain a minimum stock level.  (Report replenishing needs to Purchasing Manager.)

·      Enforces inventory control and proper processes for requesting items needed.

·      Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves organized, warehouse free from garbage and debris, and keep workstation neat.  Breaking down cardboard and removal of pallets as needed. Daily cleaning duties.

·      Ensures shipping/ receiving area is clean and follow all procedures needed to process the incoming and outgoing supplies/ equipment.

·      Provides Excellent Customer Service for both internal and external customers/ vendors.

·      Ability to document and communicate warehouse needs to supervisor or other Amplex employees as needed.  Provide reports and inventory counts as needed. Provide weekly inventory count for accurate supply amounts and possible ordering needs. Must have computer skills to complete data entry and other tasks as mentioned.

·      Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.  Must be certified to drive forklift or ability to get certification within 90 days of hire date.

·      Must be able to manage time appropriately, be organized, and have some ability to prepare for upcoming/ future supply needs. Ability to pay attention to detail and be dependable is a must.

·      Must be committed to safety and adherence to all federal, state, local, industry, and company safety codes, rules, and procedures.

·      Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least 1-year experience within the telecommunication industry to be knowledgeable of products and equipment.  Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse/ inventory work environment.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instruction, and procedure manual.  Ability to write routine reports/tickets and correspondence.  Ability to speak clearly and effectively on the phone and in person with customers and installation techs.

Must be able to wear steel/ composite work boots.

Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Provide support for Amplex customers and installers over the phone and in person.

 

Reports To: Call Center Manager

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Take technical support calls from customers and provide customers with satisfactory resolutions

·      Take technical calls from installers and provide installers with information and facts to support their work in the field

·      Working knowledge of Billmax, OTRS, Calendar, NAGIOs, Odoo

·      Monitor all in house systems you have been given access to in order to resolve any problems and/or potential problems of the services provided by Amplex

·      The ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience  Preferred Associates Degree in Information Systems Technology or similar.

 

LANGUAGE

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instruction, and procedure manual.  Ability to write routine reports/tickets and correspondence.  Ability to speak clearly and effectively on the phone and in person with customers and installation techs.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts/percentages.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The job requires sitting at a desk for over 75% of an eight hour day.  The job requires close vision in order to view a monitor and the ability to type.  Normal in office lifting, pushing and pulling.
