Job Title: Field Service Technician
Department: Installation
Reports To: FST Supervisor
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Provide installation and service of all services provided by Amplex Electric
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Install and service internet, VOIP, and any services provided by Amplex Electric
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instruction, and procedure manual. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. - - Ability to speak effectively in person with customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Ability to lift, carry and climb a 75 lb. 32’ ladder, and climb a 50’ tower. Ability to crawl, stoop, kneel, and drive a truck.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Customer Service Representative (CSR)
Provide support for Amplex customers and installers over the phone and in person.
Reports To: Call Center Manager
Shift: Monday - Thursday 10:00am to 8:00pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take technical support calls from customers and provide customers with satisfactory resolutions
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred Associates Degree in Information Systems Technology or similar.
LANGUAGE
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instruction, and procedure manual. Ability to write routine reports/tickets and correspondence. Ability to speak clearly and effectively on the phone and in person with customers and installation techs.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts/percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Technician Assistant
Performs a variety of general labor tasks.
Reports To: OSP Construction Manager
Full Time Position (Hourly)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform necessary labor tasks needed to expedite construction and other projects.
· Duties may include but not limited to cleaning and preparing job site, loading and delivering materials, using a variety of hand and power tools safely, and perform traffic control duties such as setting up signs, cones and flagging vehicles as necessary.
· Properly maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment.
· Follow all company safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment as required.
· Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks effectively and efficiently.
· Capability to work independent or as a team as needed.
· Present a positive professional image while in the field.
· Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Tower Technician/ Tower
Climber
Reports to: Tower ForemanClassification: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-exempt
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position will be responsible for the installation and service of all tower equipment, related to the infrastructure of Amplex Internet. Must be well organized, reliable, and be able to multi-task effectively. Must have a practical mind to solve problems quickly. Must not be afraid of heights.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Install, Maintain, and Upgrade Access Points(Aps), Back Hauls(BHs), Cabling, Cabinets, mounting hardware at heights.
2. Climb and mount equipment to towers, water towers, grain elevators as needed.
3. Assist tower foreman with all aspects of tower upgrades, installs, and maintenance.
4. Serve as part of the on-call rotation for tower emergency or maintenance during off hours.
5. Ability to problem solve issues or alerts with tower equipment.
6. Properly maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
7. Follow all company safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment as required.
8. Assist with special projects or assignment as needed
9. Other duties as necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. 1-3 months related experience and/ or training.
3. High degree of attention to details and accuracy.
4. Must be able to work independently but also be a team player.
5. Solid judgment along with decision making skills
6. CPR/FA certified or ability to be certified.
7. Appropriate certifications as related to tower climber position or ability to be certified.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
1. Must be able to multi-task and meet necessary deadlines consistently.
2. Understand spreadsheets, charts, and technical manuals.
3. Reliable and dependable.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to work outdoors year round in all kinds of weather except when there are safety concerns. (ice, lightening, etc)
Physical requirements
Must be physically fit and in overall good health. Ability to lift, carry and climb a 75 lb. 32’ ladder, and climb a 400’ tower. Ability to crawl, stoop, kneel, and drive a truck.
