Setting up mail filtering with Netscape Communicator 

These instructions are for

IMPORTANT:  The screens below are pictures of what (should) show up on your screen as you configure Netscape.  Print out these instructions if you like so that you can follow along as you configure your machine.  Clicking on the pictures below will not do much of anything :-)

From the main menu pick 'Edit' and then 'Message Filters' as shown below:

This will get you to this screen:

Click "New" to get to:

Give the filter a name by typing 'spam' in the 'Filter name:' box.   Fill in 'subject', 'contains' and enter [*].  Then decide what you want to do with the message.  Click on the box to the right of 'then' for a list of things you can do with the mail.  I created a folder called spam that e-mail is moved to.  When you are done click OK to get to:

Click OK and you are done :-)
